Mission Trip is an activity to reach out to other islands especially to assist in the development of an IT facility for local schools and raise awareness on the importance of education for future generations. The second Mission Trip to the island on 16-19 May was conducted in celebration of Coral Triangle Day.
Join the fun of the beach clean-up and a traditional musical performed by children from the school for the deaf in Segara Beach on June 8! The beauty of a clean beach and the musical will inspire you to make great drawings for the coloring competition. Don’t go home too early because you might just miss the debut of a future superstar in the talentshow!

Groove to the beat of Udayana University’s marching band as they perform on Kedonganan Beach, followed by an “ogoh-ogoh” parade by the youth of Kedonganan Village. Get your cameras ready as this is one local treat you wouldn’t want to miss!

In celebration of Coral Triangle Day, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries is organizing a workshop on conservation area institution, mangrove planting and coral reefs transplantation, and conservation area patrol on June 11, 12 and 26.
Join the sunset festivities on Weh Island in Northnern Sumatra from 4 to 8pm and take part in a costume competition, have your face painted, or get some fancy tattoo art on your body while enjoying a sumptuous seafood meal along the streets of Sabang. You can also sit back and enjoy a film showing on shark conservation produced by Gecko Studios and WCS or simply enjoy a musical performance by Rafli Kande-a highly gifted Acehnese musician and motivator who performs folklore songs with conservation messages. This sea carnival is organized by WCS in partnership with the Sabang Tourism Cultural Affairs, Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Department of Education, GAPAS student group, and local NGOs.
A bunch of beach activities await you the whole day from 8am to 5pm in Poopoh Village. Start the day with a beach clean-up, followed by a series of entertaining activities including a puppet show, coloring contests, and other special games. Also get a chance to win some door prizes!

In Sorong, TNC, CI, and WWF and local media partners are holding a beach clean up on Dofior Beach.

WWF and partners are celebrating the Coral Triangle Day in Port Moresby with many exciting activities for the day including a beach clean-up, video screening, awareness talk, poster displays, and a live drama performance!
24 Children and their parents ( staff from Dive Gizo) will travel by boat 25 minutes from Gizo town to Njari Island for a Coral Reef awareness day. We plan to have some small interactive talks and a look and learn on the reef using snorkeling gear . If need be, a beach clean up of flotsam debris will also take place.
A local group is organizing a beach morning walk to help raise awareness on the Coral Triangle and marine conservation. The walk starts at Caz Bah at 6.30am and finishes back at Beachside on return around 8.30am.
